Purpose
CC-AN Community Impact is the community and service arm of the Chicago Catholic Alumni Network. It provides an organized home for the alumni network's work in student support, educational opportunity, scholarships, back-to-school initiatives, mentorship, community service, fundraising endeavors, alumni-supported giving and community collaborations.
The current emphasis is supporting students within Chicago's Catholic-school community, particularly high-school students, while allowing appropriate grammar-school initiatives as well. Community Impact is built to grow as CC-AN's giving-back work expands.
CC-AN Student Impact Program
The CC-AN Student Impact Program is a community-driven initiative focused on creating meaningful opportunities to support students within Chicago's Catholic-school community.
Through educational resources, scholarship initiatives, alumni engagement, mentorship, and support for music and the arts, CC-AN Community Impact is developing ways for alumni to give back to the generations following them.

CC-AN is developing a community-focused event designed to bring alumni, students, families, and supporters together around education, opportunity, and service.
The initiative is intended to provide tangible student support while creating opportunities for alumni to engage directly with the next generation.
Additional information—including the date, participating school or schools, student eligibility, scholarship details, and ways to participate—will be announced as plans are confirmed.

Christ the King — Chicago
CC-AN is preparing a back-to-school giving initiative supporting students at Christ the King in Chicago. The endeavor is part of CC-AN's growing commitment to giving back to students within Chicago's Catholic-school community. Initial contact with the school has been made and the initiative is being developed.
Support for the Student Impact Program is intended to help advance approved student initiatives, which may include educational resources, scholarship opportunities, music and arts programming, mentorship, and community engagement.
Verified fundraising results and completed program outcomes will be reported separately so that CC-AN can clearly distinguish between goals, funds raised, and impact delivered.

Honoring a Legacy in Music and Education

CC-AN Community Impact is developing The Richard Nunley Music Scholarship of Excellence in honor of Mr. Richard Nunley. Scholarship details, eligibility and application information will be published once confirmed by CC-AN leadership. Applications are not open, no recipients have been selected and no funds have been awarded.
Meet Mr. Richard Nunley
Richard Nunley Jr.'s career in music education began in 1982 at Academy of Our Lady in Chicago, where he began teaching and influencing young musicians within Chicago's Catholic-school community. That beginning would grow into a decades-long commitment to music education, choral excellence, mentorship, and helping young people discover the power of their voices. For CC-AN, honoring Mr. Nunley carries a particularly meaningful connection. His professional journey began within the same Chicago Catholic-school community whose history, relationships, and legacy CC-AN exists to preserve and carry forward. The Richard Nunley Music Scholarship of Excellence, now in development through CC-AN Community Impact, is intended to honor that legacy and extend a commitment to music and education to future generations.

Clear reporting on funds raised and community impact
Funds raised through Legacy at Sea supported event-related and early organizational expenses associated with CC-AN’s work. This figure reflects past fundraising and is not an amount currently held or available.
Membership dues
Membership dues of $25 per month support CC-AN membership, alumni programming and organizational activities.
Fundraising / Community Impact support
Contributions associated with specific CC-AN fundraising and Community Impact initiatives are tracked separately from membership dues.
After each fiscal year closes and CC-AN’s financial records have been reconciled and reviewed, CC-AN will publish an Annual Community & Financial Impact Summary highlighting funds received, how resources were directed, and the impact of our work.
