CC-AN — the Chicago Catholic Alumni Network — connects Chicago Catholic-school alumni across schools, classes, and generations. This policy describes the information people voluntarily provide through cc-an.org and how CC-AN uses it.

CC-AN collects information only when someone chooses to submit it through a form on this website, or when an authorized administrator signs in to CC-AN’s private administrative area.

Depending on the form you use, CC-AN may receive:

• Membership requests
• Contact and general inquiries
• Committee-interest submissions
• Partnership inquiries
• Donation acknowledgment requests

The information in those submissions may include:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number, when provided
• City and state, when provided
• Chicago Catholic school(s) attended and graduation year(s), when provided
• Areas of interest, skills, availability, or profession, when provided
• Any message or additional information you write in a form

CC-AN also records limited internal administrative information connected to a submission — for example, review status, membership or payment status, dates, and staff notes used to follow up. Internal administrative information is not published on the website.

• To share information about CC-AN events, programs, and community initiatives
• To keep accurate internal records of alumni participation

CC-AN does not use submitted information to make automated decisions about you, and CC-AN does not sell submitted information.

Submissions and internal notes are stored in CC-AN’s private administrative system. Access requires signing in, and access is limited to accounts CC-AN has specifically authorized. Public registration for the administrative system is not available, and administrative records are not readable from the public website.

Authentication information for authorized administrators — such as an email address, a securely stored password credential, and sign-in activity — is handled by CC-AN’s managed hosting and authentication platform. CC-AN does not store administrator passwords in readable form.

CC-AN’s website and its submission records are operated through a managed cloud hosting and database platform. That provider processes and stores submissions on CC-AN’s behalf so the website and administrative system can function.

As currently built, this website does not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts, marketing pixels, or a cookie-consent vendor. Cookies or similar storage may be used only where necessary for the site to work and for authorized administrators to stay signed in.

As currently built, CC-AN does not use an email marketing service, a transactional email provider, or an SMS service, and no payment processor is integrated into this website. Where a payment method such as Zelle is used, payment is arranged outside this website; Zelle is not integrated into the site, and CC-AN does not receive automated payment confirmation from Zelle through the site. If CC-AN adds services in the future, this policy will be updated.

CC-AN does not sell submitted information. CC-AN shares submitted information only with people or providers who need it to carry out CC-AN’s work — such as authorized CC-AN administrators and the service providers described above — or where CC-AN is required to do so by law.

CC-AN retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and for legitimate administrative, recordkeeping, security, or legal needs.

You may contact CC-AN at ccanchicago@gmail.com to request correction or deletion of personal information you previously submitted. CC-AN will review each request and respond.

CC-AN may retain information when it is reasonably necessary for administrative, recordkeeping, legal, security, or other legitimate organizational purposes, so removal cannot be guaranteed in every case.

CC-AN takes reasonable steps to protect submitted information, including restricting administrative records to authorized accounts and relying on managed platform security controls. No website, database, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, and CC-AN cannot promise absolute security.

The general forms on this website, including membership submissions, are intended for adults age 18 and older. CC-AN does not knowingly use these general website forms to solicit personal information directly from children.

Any future CC-AN student initiative that involves minors will use a separate, appropriate process involving a parent or guardian, a school, or an authorized program representative, as applicable.

CC-AN may update this policy as the organization’s work and website change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date.
